The New Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien

The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien premeired this week and everything I loved about Conan has returned with lots of added bonuses. First of all, Conan is back. I hated the fact that he wasn't on the air for so long because, as a huge Conan fan, I had to basically sit and wait for it to start, not wanting to watch lame leno or stupid Jimmy Fallon. But, now Conan is back, and he is just so easily the best host of Late Night television. I mean, I never saw Carson or Parr or Allen, but he is certainly better than Letterman or Leno or Ferguson or Fallon and absolutely stomps on Carson Daly.

So here are some things about the new Tonight Show that make it wonerful.

1. Andy Richter is back!!! After years of trying to make a career when he clearly had topped out as Conan's sidekick, Richter comes back as the announcer of The Tonight Show, which I suppose is step up from sidekick. Anyway thouhg, he's back and making his funny sidenotes that he always used to!

2. Max Weinberg is not cut out! I was worried that when I heard ANdy was coming back that that would be the end of all the jokes at Max's expense. But, last night in only the third episode of the show they basically made Max look like some filthy scumbag, which is good, because on late night they would do that every couple of shows. So Conan knows that making fun of Max is hilarious and he has to keep that there even though Andy has returned.

3. La Bamba still looks gay! Conan made gay jokes about La Bamba for literally years, and they are still doing it even though Andy is back and they are on The Tongiht Show, which is a little classier than Late Night.

4. Musical Guests. I don't know if it is just because it is the first week, but so far they've had Pearl Jam, Green Day and John Mayer Trio. Those are rediculously high profile guests. I hope this continues and Conan only pulls in the best, after all he does have the youngest audience of any late night show.

5. More Skits less talk. I've noticed that when the guests come on, they are all taking part in little skits or just doing things besides just sitting their and talking, it is really helping to liven up the show.

So now that I know that Conan will be himself still even though he is on The Tonight Show, I give him my full endorsement. He has already had such high profile guests such as WIll Ferrell, Tom Hanks and Julia Louis-Dreyfus and the SHow is really starting out hilariously. You gotta check it out, I've never liked The Tonight Show more!
